The Sports Nerd Show – 01.31.2021
tonight was a great show, I started off replying to a friend of the show, Derek Lofland, but found out 15 mins int the show I was not recording. Sad to miss that much but I did eventually record the remainder. we discussed the blockbuster Goff-Stafford trade between Detroit and the LA Rams. we went into a heavy discussion about Deshaun Watson and the show evolved into all sorts of NFL talk and what has been going on and what could happen moving forward in the NFL. Jon had a lot to say about the AFC Championship and the entire panel (and audience) had a lot to say about the NFC Championship, including the future of Aaron Rodgers. for the entire first hour it was all NFL… and it was glorious. What followed after that was a discussion about MLB, NHL (Connor McDavid via Jon) and Mets Owner Steve Cohen, and the impact of the GameStop Stock Market issue – Jon once again promotes the value of the Blockchain and its aversion of Social Medial Censorship (great stuff). We finish up with tributes to Hank Aaron, Larry King, and others that have left us, Especially Eliot’s tribute and “where are they now” segment regarding the day Hank broke the record. It was a great show and I hope you enjoy it.
